How Do You Give Meaningful Feedback?
You will often be asked to provide feedback to others to help them improve their messages. For example, you might do peer workshops in this class as you prepare your speeches, and will also be asked to give feedback on papers, reports, and other materials throughout your academic and professional life. For speech feedback, in particular, there are four primary types of feedback that people tend to give others, some of which are helpful, and some of which are not (Simonds, Meyer, Hunt, & Simonds, 2009).
