Clean Loop Recycling with TOMRA's Claire Mawdsley & Rachel Draper (Part 1 of 2)

Published: July 21, 2019, 7 p.m.

Claire, Rachel, Jeremy and Brad get together to talk about 'closing the loop' one container at a time - and help get a cleaner planet. Claire and Rachel are from TOMRA, who are the world leaders in reverse vending machines - and, every year, these machines accept, recognise and collect over 40 billion empty drink containers worldwide and (in return) give a 10-cent reward for each one. It’s part of a continuous process TOMRA call 'Clean Loop Recycling' that ensures fewer resources are used, less energy is wasted and containers get turned back into containers again – time after time. In this lively chat, we talk about how the machines work, where to find them, their litter reduction benefits, and PLENTY of segways about veganism and Brad's and Jeremy's hair.

This is a two-part episode, with part 2 to be released next week.
