Stress in Medicine with Dr. Nina Ahuja

Published: Feb. 9, 2021, 7 a.m.

When COVID-19 related stresses and uncertainties hit, burn out became the new black.

For a long time, the reality of pre-existing stress in healthcare went largely unspoken. Nurse leaders and physicians suffered in silence. That’s when Dr. Nina Ahuja decided to speak up.

Today, I am joined by Nina as she challenges this culture of silence and shares her innovative framework for lowering stress in any situation. We also discuss the gap in leadership education, vulnerability with patients, and how healthcare providers can create an ideal support network when they need it most.
