Episode 92 - Growing Up Dead With Cris Jacobs
When Cris Jacobs began dreaming about a follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2016 album Dust to Gold, he realized early on he'd have to do things differently this time around. His life had changed drastically since writing those songs: he'd toured extensively and attracted a legion of new, devoted fans; he'd come off the road into a world, with its divisive rhetoric and troubling headlines, he no longer recognized; and, most importantly, he'd gotten married and had his first child. Things had changed, and Jacobs had, too.\nThe No Simple Road Crew spends some time talking with Cris about being a Dad, where is music comes from, growing up with Deadhead Parents, his $100 bet with his Dad, playing with Phil Lesh, and so much more!\nFor tour news, merch, and info head over to\xa0crisjacobs.com\n***THIS EPISODE IS SPONSORED BY THE AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE SHOP TOUR BUS & DEFYNE PREMIUM CANNABIS!!!!\nSHOP TOUR BUS:Visit shoptourbus.com or @shoptourbus on IG and pick up some wonderfully creative and beautiful Grateful Dead inspired shirts/hoodies.
