b'Ann Curry has spent more than 30 years as a journalist traveling the globe, reporting from the scene of many of history\\u2019s most monumental natural disasters and war zones. She has covered a range of issues from nuclear tensions in North Korea and Iran, to the destructive earthquake in Haiti in 2010, and spent countless hours in Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq. She spent 15 years with NBC\\u2019s \\u201cToday\\u201d show, and has received seven national news Emmy\\u2019s for her reporting.
