@thisiscrisco is the artistic nuance by Cristiano Spina. Making his first steps under monikers like “Kris Goad” - @kris-goad, “N.A.A.F.I. (No Ambition And Fuck-all Interest)” - @naafimusic - and anonymous. Crisco plays dreamy sounds and raw grooves, introspective pads, broken beats, 4/4s and acid basses. Irregular exotic contaminations are integrated in a constant flux of lo-fi distortions. A project assuming changing shapes and shades, depicting moments caught in their point of “cold crash”. It portrays sensations but also smells and illusions, defining Crisco’s own Mediterranean sound. Crisco debuts on @rtct-records in 2018, sharing the release with Davide Piras aka Dj Chupacabra - @davidepirasmusic. “Surf & Turf” is an hybrid EP made up of six tracks; three per side, three per artist, moving from ambient to lo-fi house, from techno to garage. An oxymoronic record describing the North and the South, the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps. Crisco says about his podcast: "An interplay of ethereal pads, dynamic breakbeats and acid basslines material, floating in outer space with oscillating bleeps, warp-speed synths and fleeting percs translated into braindance powermoves."
