Car travel remains the most popular mode of transport across Ireland \u2013 that\u2019s according to The National Household Travel Survey. \n\nIt found that 69pc of all trips are made in a private car with walking the next most popular transport mode at 20pc, followed by bus/coach at 5pc. \n\nSpeaking to Newstalk Breakfast this morning was Brian Caulfield, Associate Professor School of Engineering at Trinity College.
