Real estate: The financial backbone of any major economy. With the arrival of COVID, many thing have become disconnected, and with the recent real estate boom this has also become fundamentally problematic. With low interests, and pent up demand, some areas in Canada have been exploding while some have seen political consequences in places like California and New York. When looking at economic data, the middle class heavily supports real estate, but with increasing prices, stagnant wages and increasing cost of living, the question becomes, how sustainable and risk averse is real estate becoming?
