Robert Newman

Robert Newman  was among the pioneers of early radio and was chief writer for the Inner Sanctum Mysteries and Murder at Midnight—forerunners of The Twilight Zone that remain cult favorites to this day. In 1944 Newman was put in charge of the radio campaign to reelect Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was also one of the founding members of the Radio Writers Guild, which became the Writers Guild of America. In 1973 Mr. Newman began writing a variety of children's books,wrote many different books and series. And he also enjoy spending time with his wife and his daughter and grandchild until passing away at his house in connecticut at the age of 78 in 1988. Tonight we welcome Mr. Newman come to the show to chill our spines. In this first episode Mr. Newman wrote this episode formurder at midnight witch appeared on ABC radio.
