Politicians and observers of political affairs expressed their optimism that the blockage in the country's political process will break, following the phone call made by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, which means that the ice has melted between the two parties and the possibility of moving forward with the process of selecting the president and forming the government.
