05/15/17 - SHOW #373 HECTOR ANCHONDO Hector and his band have appeared at the IBC twice in the last 3 years, making the final stage in 2016. Their new album is entitled Roll The Dice and Hector joined me to talk about his journey, the new music and what is to come. CHRIS ANTONIK – Segment Begins At The 48:30 Mark Chrisis out of Toronto and in 2011 earned a Maple Blues Award for his debut album. He just released his third album, Monarch, and Chris joined me to share his story while we listened to the new music. BRODY BUSTER - Segment Begins At The 1:35:00 Mark Brodyrepresented the Kansas City Blues Society at the 2017 IBC and walked off the stage on Saturday earning second place in the Solo/Duo Challenge while also earning the Lee Oskar Harmonica Player Award. Brody took a seat to discuss his winding journey from child prodigy to wild teen to fatherhood to full-time musician, while we listened to tunes from One Man Band. JOHN GINTY – COUCH KID NEW MUSIC Segment Begins At The 2:18:00 Mark John returned for his third visit, this time to talk about his new album Rockers. The album features vocalist Aster Pheonyx and is 12 songs strong. It’s always a blast to have John on to talk about his incredible schedule, his love of the B-3 and more. John and I also talked about what is in his future.
