Mexico - Updates on major projects across Mexico's Chihuahua region
The state of Chihuahua is Mexico's second-largest lead and zinc producer, and third-largest producer of gold and silver. Home to 49 mines - 16 of which are large scale - companies are now moving away from open pit and are in the process of constructing underground mines. Jose Jabalera, Director General for Mining at the State Government of Chihuahua, joins us this week to discuss the 64 exploration projects seeking suppliers, particularly in environment solutions, ventilation, dust and water management.
