My guest on today’s show is a special client and friend. You could say she’s my ideal client. Though she has had a challenging path, her tenacity for something better is driving her to change her life from the inside out.
It’s been so beautiful to see.
Maxine Ramirez and I have been working together for a year and a half, and today you get to hear her story and see how far she’s come in that time. Maxine had a rough childhood that included sexual abuse, substance abuse, dropping out of high school, eating disorders… Comparable circumstances have left many feeling helpless and doomed to repeat unhealthy patterns. But Maxine always wanted something better, wanted something more. Her rough beginning has just made her progress that much sweeter.
When Maxine and I first started working together, she shared a secret that she hadn’t voiced previously. She wanted to start her own business. Within three months, she launched her web design and digital marketing agency. Today she is also training to be a master coach of NLP.
Maxine and I started our work together by identifying strategies and patterns, releasing negative emotions, and getting rid of limiting beliefs. Maxine says it felt like a weight lifted from her body. Our first priority was to help her get congruent, to get her conscious and unconscious minds in sync, working to move her in the direction she wanted to grow.
With my clients, I consistently see that all of their negativity, all of their limiting beliefs, their sense of unworthiness, their sense of lack of trust and uncertainty are manifested into one specific area of their lives more so than others. For some people, it shows up in their work or business, their relationships, or their finances. For Maxine, it’s her body. She has noticed how when she doesn’t honor her body, chaos often spills over into other areas of her life. Similarly, when she treats her body well, client relations go more smoothly. It’s all linked.
Maxine shares some tips as you progress on your own self-development journey:
Do it for yourself. You’re worth it! Maxine and I are rooting for you.
