A Crucial Paradigm Shift for a Changing World

Published: April 30, 2020, 7 a.m.

As you know, a big part of my work involves harnessing the power of the unconscious mind. But retaining our focus requires a lot of repetition. It’s not hard. It just takes a time investment. After all, we’re usually having to address decades-old neural programming.

I’ve been creating a course, and part of the development process is having some clients take the material for a test drive and give me their feedback. Since the first audio in the series is addressing the unconscious mind directly and setting the stage, the audio was on the long side. 47-ish minutes long.

Can you guess the feedback I got?

“Do you have a shorter version of this?”

“I don’t have a 47-minute block of time.”

“This is too long. The kids are hungry, and the dog is barking.”

In case you don’t already know, I love getting to the bottom of things, so, naturally, I launched an investigation with four clients who “didn’t have enough time.”

Here’s what I found… “Not enough time” wasn’t the issue. They were spending time on unresourceful things. They were procrastinating, putting things off, and feeling overwhelmed. In the course of their day, there was time wasting going on.

When I dug even deeper, I uncovered this lie (prepare to reject-delete the following) --  “I’m not worth the time.” Of course, nobody actually says that, but it shows up in the form of “There are other more important things.” “I’ll do it if I can fit in.”

Dear ones, your life is precious, and you are the one -- the only one -- in charge of your life. If you want things to be different, it’s up to you to focus on what you want and to take action in that direction.

When we waste time or engage in unresourceful things, we’re just giving our power, giving away our ability to be at-cause.

Consider this -- If you want things to be different a year from now, you’ve got to start making shifts now. You absolutely can have big, beautiful change in your life. You just have to be willing to commit to doing the work. You, your dreams, your life are worth the investment.
