24. Alec Ryan Talks New Album and Digital Marketing for Musicians

Published: Nov. 14, 2019, 4:45 p.m.

In this episode, Denver (soon to be Nashville) based singer-songwriter, Alec Ryan joins me in my bedroom for a... conversation about music... on a really nice interface (I'm a nerd). The "Ben Folds meets your favorite early 2000s Emo band-esque" songwriter recently released the first half of his debut album, Paper and Pen. In his own words, "I believe love is found in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire. Paper and Pen is a collection of stories about love." In our conversation we chat about his new release, what it's like taking piano lessons from your parents at a music college, and a few tips on what independent artists can do to better their facebook ads to improve audience growth. Alongside his musical pursuits, Alec has made a successful side hustle in the field of digital marketing, and is also a facebook moderator for Ari's Take Academy Streaming and Instagram Growth facebook group. This episode is a page turner for muggles and a must listen for musicians.\n\nCorrections: In the ending monologue, I said you could email me at middleclassrockstar.com. Obviously, you can't.
