running my own electrical business and
\\nhow I would use free in that business
\\nand go from there so essentially the
\\nfree marketing or the free thing that I
\\nwould give out was a free estimate or
\\nfree quote so on the website get this
\\nfree quote and that was basically all
\\nthat I was going to give away for free
\\nin return for the user contacting me now
\\nwhile this was good and effective so it
\\nwas effective because I would arrive to
\\njobs and I would get the work because
\\nother electricians would charge you know
\\n50 100 bucks whatever it was just to
\\nshow up and give the customer an
\\nestimate as to how much they\'re going to
\\nbe charged now that\'s like well I don\'t
\\neven know if I\'m going to go from from
\\nthe customers point of view they don\'t
\\nknow if they\'re going to go with you yet
\\nthey\'re still deciding and you\'re going
\\nto charge them just to show up to tell
\\nthem how much you\'re going to charge
\\nthem it doesn\'t make sense in their mind
\\nso by offering a free quote it gave that
\\nopportunity to a get to know me the
\\nelectrician who I want who I was what I
\\nstand for and then also give them a
\\nprice or an estimate that the job would
\\nbe X Y Zed and out for them and they can
\\nthen decide for themselves now they
\\ndownside for the electrician this is
\\nwhere I see a lot of electricians
\\nelectrical sites web pages they\'re all
\\ngiving this free quote for estimate
\\nwhich is great however the free thing is
\\ncosting us time which is our most
\\nvaluable asset yeah you can\'t get your
\\ntime back it\'s a toss costing you the
\\nelectrician time if they get three
\\nquotes is then costing three
\\nelectricians you know three hours you
\\nknow is if it\'s twenty minutes they\'re
\\ntwenty minutes back and twenty minutes
\\nto quote the job
\\nyou\'re wasting that\'s three hours of
\\ntime people have spent to give a
\\ncustomer a
\\non a job and only one is ever going to
\\nwin the job so it\'s it\'s not the best
\\nway to go about it and you also you know
