ENGAGEMENT: So many people think they know but have no idea. What do you think that's about? How has that mentality directed your life?

Reflecting on this past weekend, takes me back to how P\u014dMahina Designs got on the track to being on stage. Again, far from whatever I could conceive, but nonetheless, advantageous.
\n
\nIt started with someone believing and seeing something in me that I was open to accepting. My mind was blocked with hurt, pain and familiar spaces to even phantom these opportunities on my own.
\n
\nI took a chance, I knew inside I was going to be ok, so I went in scared. From that experience as a model, then to a collaborator to then stand on my own gave me all the key ingredients to thrive and elevate.
\n
\nI hope to be that person for someone else on this journey. Experience and confidence is what our kupuna understood as \u201cma ka hana ka\u2019ike\u201d an \u02bb\u014clelo No\u02bbeau that means, in the work there is knowledge. They understood that failure, success, practice and trial were components to make a person well-rounded. They understood that it was necessary to earn this space in order to overcome and master.
