EPISODE 31: Shelly Peiken is a multi-platinum American songwriter best known for Christina Aguilera\\u2019s No. 1 smash, \\u201cWhat a Girl Wants,\\u201d and Meredith Brooks\\u2019 GRAMMY nominated \\u201cBitch.\\u201d Shelly has also written for and with, Jessie J, Britney Spears, Bebe Rexha, Demo Lovato, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Keith Urban and has had hundreds of songs placed in TV and film. Her book Confessions of a Serial Songwriter, which chronicles her journey from a young girl falling under the spell of magical songs to writing hits of her own, earned her a second GRAMMY nomination for Best Spoken Word Album.
