He was a member of the famed \\u201cSecond City\\u201d theatrical troupe in Chicago, has been nominated twice for a Grammy, received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor, and won a Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the hit Neil Simon musical, \\u201cThey\\u2019re Playing Our Song.\\u201d
\\xa0In 1975, Klein was the first comedian to appear in a live concert on HBO.
