The fourth movement (the second \\u2018Nachtmusik\\u2019) contrasts with the first in that it illustrates a more intimate and \\u2018human\\u2019 scene. With its \\u2018amoroso\\u2019 marking and reduced orchestration (trombones, tuba and trumpets are silent and the woodwinds are reduced by half) this movement has been described as \\u2018a long stretch of chamber music set amidst this huge orchestral work\\u2019.
