Today\\u2019s friend of the podcast got started on the drum kit at age 5. Plot twist \\u2013 French Horn was his first instrument in school band! He continued to pursue music through higher education at Alma College in Michigan. During his time there, he won \\u201coutstanding soloist\\u201d at the Notre Dame Collegiate Jazz Festival \\u2013 one of the most esteemed jazz festivals around, where he soloed on drums, marimbas, and vibes during a single 30-minute set. The man moved to Seattle just over 6 months ago and has quickly \\u2013 albeit quietly \\u2013 become one of the busiest drummers in the scene.
