One of my favorite insights from Belle & Sebastian\\u2019s Stuart Murdoch in episode #75: \\u201cMaybe 1994 or 1995, a switch came on, and I started writing better songs. There\'s no doubt about that. I remember writing a song called \\u2018Dog on Wheels\\u2019 at the start of 1995, and then quickly after that, I wrote a song called \\u2018The State I Am In,\\u2019 a song called \\u2018Lord Anthony,\\u2019 \\u2018Sleep The Clock Around,\' and it suddenly started flowing. There was a moment when I been in my favorite cafe, which I practically lived in \\u2014 the Grosvenor Cafe \\u2014 and I started getting the idea for \\u2018The State I Am In.\\u2019  I had a little tune and I took it outside because it was too noisy in the cafe, and the words started to flow. It started coming easily, riding on top of the tune. And I didn\'t have to ponder the words. And actually I kind of didn\'t know where the ideas were coming from, I didn\\u2019t know what I was saying \\u2014 it all tumbled out.\\u201d
