Matthew 16:13-20

13\\xa0When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples,\\xa0\\u201cWho do people say the Son of Man is?\\u201d

14\\xa0They replied, \\u201cSome say John the Baptist;\\xa0others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.\\u201d

15\\xa0\\u201cBut what about you?\\u201d\\xa0he asked.\\xa0\\u201cWho do you say I am?\\u201d

16\\xa0Simon Peter answered, \\u201cYou are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.\\u201d

17\\xa0Jesus replied,\\xa0\\u201cBlessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood,\\xa0but by my Father in heaven.\\xa018\\xa0And I tell you that you are Peter,[a]\\xa0and on this rock I will build my church,\\xa0and the gates of Hades[b]\\xa0will not overcome it.\\xa019\\xa0I will give you the keys\\xa0of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[c]\\xa0bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[d]\\xa0loosed in heaven.\\u201d\\xa020\\xa0Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone\\xa0that he was the Messiah.
