b'A New York native, Robert Horn studied Theater at New York University\\u2019s Tisch School\\nof the Arts and New York\\u2019s Circle in the Square theater school.\\xa0 Soon after, he left for\\xa0\\nLos Angeles to pursue a writing career in film and television that has spanned has over 30\\nyears.\\xa0 His first break came as a writer/producer on the iconic television series \\u2018Designing\\nWomen\\u2019, followed by the groundbreaking Fox series \\u2018Living Single\\u2019, and the irreverent\\xa0\\nCBS comedy \\u2018High Society\\u2019.\\xa0\\nMr. Horn was then signed to an overall production deal with Warner Brothers Studios,\\xa0\\nwhere he developed, wrote, and Executive Produced dozens of network pilots and/or\\xa0\\nseries.\\xa0 He then signed a multi-year script deal at Sony Studios, followed by an overall\\xa0\\npilot deal at ABC Studios. He, along with television veteran Bob Boyett, wrote and\\xa0\\ncreated the FX series Partners, one of the few 10/90 deals made in the early 2000\\u2019s.\\xa0 He\\xa0\\nhas written projects for many numerous broadcast, cable, and platform networks,\\xa0\\nincluding as the musical pilot Car Wash with Will Packer, The Jenni Rivera show for\\xa0\\nlatin susperstar Jenni Rivera, the pilot Sunnyland for TBS starring Jennifer Hudson, Left\\xa0\\nof Center developed with TV veteran Gail Berman, and Taxi 22 at HBO, starring James\\xa0\\nGandolfini.\\xa0\\nMr. Horn also wrote musical movie\\u2019s such as \\u2018Sharpay\\u2019s Fabulous Adventure\\u2019, the next\\xa0\\nof the High School Musical series, followed by the hugely popular \\u2018Teen Beach Movie\\u2019\\xa0\\nfranchise for Disney.\\xa0\\nAlong with his television credits, Mr. Horn has written such diverse projects as \\u2018Wildlife\\u2019\\nfor Walt Disney Feature Animation, the Charlie Sheen feature film \\u2018Good Advice\\u2019, \\u2018The\\xa0\\nRuPaul Christmas Special\\u2019 for the BBC, and \\u2018Revenge\\u2019, a digital musical series co-\\nwritten with Jason Robert Brown for Sony\\u2019s digital Crackle network, and contributed\\xa0\\nBette Midler\\u2019s world tour Divine Intervention.\\nTheatrically, Mr. Horn has written the books for \\u2018Dame Edna, Back With A Vengeance\\u2019\\xa0\\nwhich opened at Broadway\\u2019s Music Box theater in 2004, \\u2018Lone Star Love\\u2019, the Red Clay\\xa0\\nRambler musical which premiered at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle, the Jason Robert\\xa0\\nBrown musical \\u201813\\u2019, which previewed at the Goodspeed Opera House in Goodspeed,\\xa0\\nConn, and opened at the Jacobs Theater in New York. the musical \\u2018Moonshine, that Hee\\xa0\\nHaw Musical\\u2019, wirth Brandy Clark and Shane Mcanally, which opened at the Dallas\\xa0\\nTheater Center, and the Broadway musical Tootsie, collaborating with David Yazbek\\nLearn more about your ad choices.
