Back in episode 0059 we introduced the accusative case or galininkas.\xa0 Today we\u2019ll start in on the plural accusative or accusative plural.

To do this let\u2019s introduce a new verb \u2013 valgyti \u2013 to eat.\xa0 When you use a transitive verb the object of the sentence is declined using the accusative case or galininkas.\xa0 For example, I eat the banana.\xa0 Banana is a singular object that receives the action of the verb, to eat.\xa0 So, banana is declined using galininkas.\xa0 You know the verb is transitive when you see the object receives the action of the verb.\xa0 I open the window \u2013 the object, window is receiving the action of the verb, to open.\xa0 Sonata drives the car.\xa0 The object \u2013 the car is receiving the action of the verb, to drive.

Attention!\xa0 D\u0117mesio!\xa0 Something else to keep in mind when conjugating any verb.\xa0 You don\u2019t need to say \u201ca\u0161 valgau\u201d since valgau makes - a\u0161 - obvious.\xa0 You can just say, valgau.\xa0 The word a\u0161 is not necessary unless you want to use it for emphasis.\xa0 Same goes for tu valgai, \u201ctu\u201d isn\u2019t necessary \u2013 you can simply say, \u201cvalgai,\u201d tu is understood.\xa0 Valgome is the same, you don\u2019t need to say mes.\xa0 Valgote is also the same, you don\u2019t need to say j\u016bs.\xa0 In these examples the pronoun is unnecessary.
