Ever wonder where we get inspiration from? It could be a movie of an underdog overcoming adversity and defeating an opponent. For many people, what motivates them are the naysayers who criticize them for their dreams, goals and pursuits. I have carried that mentality for some time and I'm sure you have as well or still do. However, when it comes to proving others wrong, the motive is often times to get other's approval and that is a dangerous motive. For the most part, no one really cares what you do and even if you achieve your dream or goal, those people will have forgotten about it anyways. So your accomplishments will have no real fulfilment behind them.
\nRather than prove others wrong, prove yourself wrong. After all, the greatest critics in our lives are those voices inside our heads that like to talk us out of great opportunity, accomplishment. When you say you can't do something for whatever reason you have, prove yourself wrong. Put it to the test. No one cares about your success and fulfillment like you do. I have found that proving yourself wrong is the most inspiring thing you can do. You inspire yourself by proving yourself wrong and when you do, you don't really care what others think of you. Be your own hero in your life and your own coach by encouraging self talk. Empower yourself to step into your potential and overcome your own adversity. And when you do, you will inspire others as well!
