Nikos Georgopoulos is an award winning designer based in London. He currently serves as an Associate Lecturer, London College of Communication, and is the Head of Graphic Design at Pollard Thomas Edwards.

As of late he has been globe trotting giving talks on his Xenia Project at the International Conference on Typeography, the international conference on Tourism, as well as the Big Design Conference here in Dallas, Texas.

On this week’s episode, Nikos and I dive deep into the narrative designers need to create for their projects—how the past might be the best tool to influence the future. And we also scratch our heads on… Do we take ourselves too seriously as designers? Have we sucked all of the “fun” out of the design process?

My favorite quote from Nikos on this episode, “I kind of like when things are a bit wrong, and a bit quirky, or don’t make sense.”
