Our Trainers: Bob Powell is the Chief Executive Officer for Family Service and Children’s Aid. He has worked in the human services field for over 40 years. Bob has worked in the Jackson community since 1994 as a Children’s Protective Services Worker, Administrator for nonprofits and adjunct faculty for Baker and Spring Arbor University. Bob studied at Michigan State University for his undergraduate degree, Wayne State University for his graduate work and completed his Doctoral degree from Western Michigan University. Zoe Lyons is the County Director for the Jackson office of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. She has worked in the human services field for 30 years. Zoe has worked as a Children’s Protective Services worker and then trainer, an investigator for the Office of Children’s Ombudsman and in the MDHHS Central Office as the Manager over Children’s Protective Services for the entire state. The last 10 years she has been the Director in MDHHS offices in Hillsdale/Branch and Ingham Counties as well as Jackson. Zoe has a degree in Psychology from Michigan State University.
