TRUE WARRIOR: A Nation of Believers D23 CH23

There’s been a movement to take God from our country. They labeled it “separation of church and state" years ago, and I believe has been misused ever since.

Thomas Jefferson was one of the greatest advocates of religious FREEDOM. His“Act for Establishing Religious Freedom” in 1779 became law Jan. 16, 1786. The bill was a milestone in religious liberty and church-state separation.

Note that the “separation of church and state” and “religious FREEDOM” are used together frequently when referencing this subject. Religious FREEDOM and rights to worship how where and who we may, or to not worship at all, is the obvious intent of these words.

America and is a land of believers, where all believers were given the right to worship how, where, and what they may. Our FREEDOM to believe and worship is one of our greatest founding principles and must be honored.

I promise to honor others beliefs and allow them their right to practice that belief as a citizen of this great land. I will bring God back into my words and actions when speaking, never to be censored, and exercise this right allowing others to do the same.
