Today our \u201cMOMENT of CONSIDERATION\u201d looks like this, \u201cOh no, I will not get up on stage and sing, dance, act or speak.\u201d Or, \u201cHell no, she\u2019s way out of my league, I\u2019ll settle for a sure thing, a safe thing, someone who will say yes for sure.\u201d Or, \u201cNope, too many sales call rejections today, had my share of \u2018No\u2019s, \u2018and I\u2019m outta here!\u201d

CONSIDERATION, developed as a basic survival skill, has been misapplied to a modern world where there are far less great whites, and there is far more potential opportunity from taking action.

Really, what\u2019s the worst thing that can happen when you get up on stage? Perhaps you fumble for words, loose your place, people laugh at you, your belt comes undone, and you\u2019re suddenly standing there in your underwear. Maybe you don\u2019t get applause, that next promotion, or people laugh at you.

What about that special someone you ask out? Maybe the girl of your dreams says, \u201cNo, I would never go out with you in a million years.\u201d Or you make that next call, and someones shouts at you describing your mother in very unkind and surprisingly graphic terminologies.

None of these responses comes close to your body being ripped in half by Jaws, while your screams muffle as you\u2019re swallowed you whole by our favorite 20 foot, 5000 lb. movie star! Not even close. All of the afore mentioned are minor scrapes, bumps and bruises we all acquire throughout our lives, and yet, our autonomic responses make them seem life threatening.

Just as likely a scenario is that your speech goes fine, the girl says yes, and you make the sale of a lifetime. In most case scenarios, you mess up a little on your speech, the girl says maybe, and you make a mediocre sale. However, compared to Jaws swallowing you whole, the risk is always worth it. Always.

Recognizing that all opportunity, and in fact everything that happens, happens in an environment of ACTION is the key to all success. That\u2019s right, not some success, all of it comes from A-C-T-I-O-N! ACTION is the key to fame, fortune, and the relationship of your dreams. So why do so few people take action that results in all that? In short having it all. The answer is FEAR.

Modern humans are letting one emotion stand in the way of having it all. FEAR.
