Chapter 3 Day 3

The Two Sides of the Battle! Which Side Are You On?

As we discussed before most battles are based on someone wanting what another has and deciding to take it. Our premise is simple, people on one side of our country say the others side has what they want, and they want to take it.

One example might be pointing a finger at the 1% and saying, ‘They have stuff I don’t have and I want it.” Although overly simplistic, this easily illustrates the point.

It goes something like this, “All of our issues can be solved by those rich people giving me their stuff. This is where clever catch phrases are used like “inequality of wealth distribution, white privilege, or historical, systematic, racism” to justify storming up the hill and taking it from them. Some might say, “After all, they don’t deserve it…I do!”

Don’t be fooled, this is a very sexy argument, and on one side of the battle they use it over and over again. “It’s obvious, if I don’t have what they have, it can’t be my fault, it’s got to be theirs. If I put this person in office they said they’d give it to me. I voting for that person!”

It shows up in many ways from entitlement programs, to taxes, to full out reparations.

In short this amounts to bribery. “We will take from the rich and give to the poor. After all, they obviously have somehow stolen it from us.”

The only problem with this argument is that it never was theirs. The wealthy for the most part in this country are first generation and a large percentage are immigrants that worked really hard to earn it. Although this narrative does not serve their purpose of pointing to generations of wealth gathered from enslaving the masses.

People on the other side of the battle believe you get to keep what you make, and you decide what to do with it. Freedom.

This discussion can go round and round, I rely and very intelligent people like Ben Shapiro, and Candace Owens to explain this further. That is what they do best. For now we will leave this discussion as you have by this point determined which side of the battle you are on.

Don’t get me wrong, as an American I believe in your FREEDOM to believe the way you believe, and I will defend your right to it as long as it doesn’t take FREEDOMS from others.

Our discussion is just that. Defending the FREEDOMS of people as long as they do not take FREEDOM from others. FREEDOM is what our country was founded on and FREEDOM, although messy and imperfect at times, is true and comes from God.

Our country the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Constitutional Amendments were meant to do just that. Preserve FREEDOM! The point is, even if we all don’t agree, as Americans we do agree to protect each other’s FREEDOMS!

Tomorrow we will discuss how to take action and defend all our FREEDOMS. Because none of us are FREE unless all of us are FREE!
