She is a freelance journalist who writes about culture and gender for publications including\\xa0The New Yorker,\\xa0The Guardian,\\xa0The New York Times, and\\xa0The Times Literary Supplement. She also wrote the \\u201cStranger of the Week\\u201d column for The Awl.\\xa0Neon in Daylight\\xa0is her first novel.\\nKanishk Tharoor\\xa0is the author of\\xa0Swimmer Among the Stars\\xa0(Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2017). His journalism and fiction have been published in the\\xa0New York Times,\\xa0Guardian,\\xa0The Atlantic,\\xa0The Nation,\\xa0Paris Review,\\xa0The New Yorker,\\xa0Los Angeles Review of Books, and\\xa0Virginia Quarterly Review, and his work has been nominated for the National Magazine Award. He is the presenter and writer of the BBC radio series\\xa0Museum of Lost Objects\\xa0and a columnist for the\\xa0Hindustan Times\\xa0and the\\xa0Hindu Business Line\\xa0in India. He has a BA from Yale and an MFA from NYU. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and son.\\nCherise Wolas\\xa0lives in New York City with her husband.
