Thuvia, Maid of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs

Published: April 1, 2020, 4 p.m.

b'This is an audiobook of Thuvia, Maid of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs, narrated by Mark Nelson. It is the fourth book in the Barsoom series. Written as a frame narrative, it begins as the others do with Burroughs (the author) explaining how he came to be in possession of the story in the first place.
Unlike the previous three novels, the focus shifts away from John Carter and Dejah Thoris and onto their son, Carthoris, Prince of Helium; and Thuvia, Princess of Ptarth and titular character. Some things never change, though; like with the previous novels, a princess is kidnapped and the traditional male hero needs to rescue her.
