Let's Talk: GMG Tribute Show Jessy Dixon w/Dr. Charles Clency

\\u2022Jessy Dixon was born in San Antonio, TX where he sang and played his first song at the age of five. He and his family moved to Chicago, IL while he was young and during his time singing around Chicago he was discovered by James Cleveland. James Cleveland recorded early songs written by Jessy entitled \\u201cGod Can Do Anything But Fail,\\u201d and \\u201cMy God Can Make A Way.\\u201d Continuing to sing Jessy formed a group of his own The Jessy Dixon Singers who travelled the country singing and performing.

\\n

\\u2022In 1972 Jessy was invited to perform his new song, \\u201cThe Wicked Shall Cease Their Troubling.\\u201d at New York\\u2019s Radio City Music Hall. Not only did Jessy and his group travel the states they went on tours with Paul Simon across the U.S., France, Canada, Scandinavia, Israel and Japan. They toured extensively with Paul for eight years.

\\u2022Jessy was invited to sing at a Homecoming video taping where he was exposed to even more audiences and became one of the favorite in a series of the Gaither programming.
