\\u2022Honoring the memory of O\\u2019Landa Draper, who was known for his directing style. He founded the choir known as \\u201cThe Associates\\u201d. He and his choir were considered one of the top gospel artists in the 1990\\u2019s. He succumbed to a sudden illness and passed at the age of 34 in 1998.

\\n

\\u2022O\\u2019Landa received many awards through-out his life which includes Grammy Awards, Stellar Awards and Dove Awards. He was posthumously honored with the Rev. James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award by the Stellar Awards.

\\n

O\\u2019Landa Draper was only approaching his peak as a gospel choir leader when he experienced kidney failure. He had gone to Nashville to perform at the annual Bobby Jones Explosion July 10 \\u2013 11, 1998.  O\\u2019Landa was rushed to Metro Nashville General Hospital, where he died two days later, on July 21, 1998
