\\u2022Don\\u2019t Bother Me, I Can\\u2019t Cope was a musical written by Miki Grant and directed by Vinnette Carroll.\\xa0 This production not only included Gospel music, it\\nalso included jazz, funk, soul, calypso and soft rock.\\n\\n\\u2022In this musical which is the second production I have found to have Alex Bradford playing an important part contributing his talents as a feature character/actor/singer along with his wife Alberta Bradford.\\xa0 She played a role as singer and actress in the Broadway production.\\xa0 Alberta Bradford was not only a singer; she was a musician and songwriter who not only played for her husband Alex Bradford and his group; she also played for other singing aggregations such as Chesapeake Choral Union, the National Convention of Gospel Choirs & Choruses and several other groups. \\n\\n\\u2022The play itself focused on the African-American experience with songs reflecting various topics about ghetto life, student protests, Black power and feminism.\\n\\n\\u2022This show was the Directorial debut of Vinnnette Carroll who was the first black woman to direct a play on Broadway.\\xa0 The play was written by Micki Grant; singer, actress, writer and composer.\\xa0 Micki was a featured actress in one of the earlier soap operas \\u201cAnother World.\\n\\n\\u2022with Calvin Gibbs, Jr. as Co-Host \\n\\n\\u2022Please send me an email sharing your thoughts about this show segment also if you have any suggestions of future guests you would like to hear on the show.
