In this week\\u2019s episode I sit down with Damien Atkins. Damien Atkins is an actor, playwright, and teacher. In our conversation today we discuss how he was introduced to theatre, the benefits acting can have in teaching children about empathy, as well as the lessons he took from his time in school. We also discuss some of his most positive performing experiences, his work as a playwright and his use of vocal masque, as well as what he has learned about himself as a performer and writer. He also shares the advice he would give himself if he could go back and speak with himself right out of school and discusses where he sees theatre in Canada headed in the future.
