Some skills are difficult to practice in a realistic environment.\xa0 Having effective difficult conversations is one of them.\xa0 Denise Meyerson of MCI Solutions worked with a provider in disability services sector in Australia to support the onboarding of 165 new local area coordinators spread across a wide geographic area.\xa0 She describes how a simulated environment (which she refers to as \u2018light virtual reality) was used to equip them to have some difficult conversations with clients about eligibility for services.
