In 2020 a learning consultant Kuva Jacobs, suggested we contact Kerryn Fewster, Australia's leading organisational change expert to chat about a about a piece of work they had done that might be able to help us understand ambiguity and build better capability for it in our organisations and ourselves.

"Adaptability is the characteristic that will matter above all else. Learn to adapt to ambiguity and uncertainty or risk being lift behind"

This quote from Kerryn Fewster, Founder and Director of Adaptiq Minds and Change 2020 is an organisational change consultancy is striking and relevant.

It sums up with an EY study in 2019 reported that 50% of CEO's named uncertainty as the single greatest external threat to the business.

In this episode we explore

- the definition of ambiguity

- the research Kerryn worked on alongside QUT researchers on ambiguity and uncertainty and building capability

- the learnings including the 8 key behaviours we can build capability in to improve our tolerance to ambiguity

- the assessment tool created to help assess individual and organisational capability in ambiguity and uncover capability opportunities

- the learning design process explored with Kuva Jacobs, from Redpoint Consulting

To access the tool we speak about in the podcast google go to Adaptiqminds.com.au  and click on the button to build your snapshot profile of your abilities, and this will give you access to the assessment and a snapshot report once you have finished it.

We hope we've added value in some way.
