Whether people want to admit it or not, Imposter Syndrome has probably affected them at some point in their life for one reason or another.  If you think about it, Imposter Syndrome showed itself to you around your middle school years, even if we didn't call it that.  All to often, we look at people who are doing the things we want to do and can't image they had struggles at all.  We only see them on the playing field and not the practice room.
