17. Leadership Truths from 3x Olympian in Field Hockey, Captain Lauren Crandall

Lauren Crandall was a member of the Women\\u2019s National Field Hockey Team from 2005-2016 where she competed in the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games. She captained the team from 2011-2016. Crandall also competed in 3 Pan American Games, winning gold in both the 2011 and 2015 games, the 2014 World Cup where her team achieved a historic 4th place finish, was a gold medalist at the 2014 Champions Challenge, and won bronze at the 2016 Champions Trophy. In 2014 Crandall was an FIH Player of the year nominee and twice selected to the All Pan American Team.

Before joining the National Team, Crandall attended Wake Forest University where she was a two-time National Champion, two-time ACC Champion, and 3- time All American. Crandall was elected team captain her junior and senior years. In 2006 she was a Finalist for the Honda Award.

Lauren Crandall now works as a Marketing Representative at Federated Insurance where she has won 2 sales incentive awards and awarded the Monthly Leadership Council Award in consecutive years.
