75: A Talk with a Myanmar Protestor

On February 1st, 2021, Myanmar\u2019s military seized power in a coup in response to a sweeping electoral victory by Aung San Suu Kyi\u2019s NLD party. The past few weeks have seen mass protests across the country by a diverse range of groups, and the military regime\u2019s response has grown increasingly bloody, with night raids and detentions, and live rounds being used to maim and kill protestors.

We spoke to a young protestor in Yangon, Myanmar about what she has seen and to get her thoughts on the current situation in her country. Her identity has been concealed for her protection.
