The Government Shutdown affected a bunch of people. \\xa0This is an actual feel good story about nature taking back what\\u2019s rightfully theirs. \\xa0During the shut down the job of Blue Tarp Waver on a California Beach was considered non essential personnel. During this time the Blue Tarp Wavers were not at their post the Elephant Seals seized the opportunity to reclaim the beach.

The Elephant Seals were before scared off and annoyed by the Blue Tarp Wavers, but with the opportunity to move in while the Government Shutdown was going on there are not too many to keep off the beach.
