There are times in a person’s life where they just have to say screw it and dance. At multiple points in history the dancing went too far. During a few stints in History towns were plagued by 100’s even 1000’s of people just dancing for no reason. They would dance all through the day and night until some fell where they fox trotted to their death.

One of the most famous incidents is the Dancing Plague of 1518 which took place in Strasbour, Alsace. This was during the Holy Roman Empire so theories ranged from sickness to the Devil putting his finger in uncomfortable places. This isn’t a loving tale like Kevin Bacon in FootLoose.

Richard and Shawn travel back to 1518 where they follow Bacon a young lad in this time who just wanted to dance. When a Plague ridden rat shows up at his door and gives him promises of a dance off in the town square. Does this tale have a happy ending or does the Devil Get his due?

About Language of Bromance

Together Richard and Shawn formed the podcast The Language of Bromance and from there it has been nothing but fun. The duo laugh about things they go through, stories in the news and even getting serious discussing net neutrality along with other issues. Every so often their friendship turns to a bitter rivalry with their nerdiest creation the draft episodes. An original take on a best of or a top 10 list. The draft episodes are done like an NFL Draft 7 rounds where Richard and Shawn flip-flop picks on various topics.
