Shawn opens up this week’s episode by talking about his return to gaming. He is pumped for the new NFL season so he has been playing the crap out of Madden 17.

The topic transitions into a historical story about hooligans and sporting events. This isn’t the craziness that happens during soccer matches of Manchester United but goes much further back into history. To the year 532 AD and The great Chariot Racing inside of the Hippodrome.

In What has been called the Nika riots in Constantinople there were chariot teams split into four by color. The teams had the backing of Crime families and Politicians. During the events fans would take the intermission to shout out their issues to the Emperor Justinian.

After the rage and drinking hit it’s max threshold the crowd rioted inside the Hippodrome and attacked the palace. Did Justinian survive and safe the city? Did Justinian run like a coward? All of these answers and more will be answered in the newest Language of Bromance Podcast.

About Language of Bromance

Together Richard and Shawn formed the podcast The Language of Bromance and from there it has been nothing but fun. The duo laugh about things they go through, stories in the news and even getting serious discussing net neutrality along with other issues. Every so often their friendship turns to a bitter rivalry with their nerdiest creation the draft episodes. An original take on a best of or a top 10 list. The draft episodes are done like an NFL Draft 7 rounds where Richard and Shawn flip-flop picks on various topics.
