Foreign Soil

Thanks for listening to the Lancaster Story Slam podcast. In June, we asked for stories on the theme “Foreign Soil!” We heard some wild travel stories, and we also heard some excellent immigrant tales! It was a really fun night of diverse stories and we left Tellus with big smiles!  Audrey Lopez won our “Foreign Soil” Story Slam with her touching story of moving from Peru to the USA as a little kid. Here’s Audrey!  Our next storyteller is Mitch Jureckson. Mitch has told a few stories before, but this one was particularly personal and poignant.  Our final story is from Mustafa Nuur. Mustafa came to the USA from Somalia, and as you’ll hear, America felt like foreign soil when he first arrived.  Our next Story Slam is July 26th and the theme is “Career Opportunities!” We want to hear work stories, and work interview stories. We want to hear about opportunities taken and opportunities missed! What the best job you ever had? What’s the worst job you ever had? Tell us your work story at Tellus360 on July 26th! You can quickly order your tickets off of the Lancaster Story Slam Tickets page.  If you enjoyed the podcast, we’d love it if you you would leave a rating and review on iTunes, or let your friends know they can listen to Lancaster folks telling true tales each month.  Thanks again to our podcast sponsor - Levante Brewing Company!
