Last week the USDA announced its decision to delay enforcement of several requirements of the interim final rules for the US hemp program, based on feedback it received during the public comment period that ended January 29, 2020.

The agency will delay enforcement of the requirement that all hemp testing labs be registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and will also delay enforcement of the requirement that hemp producers use a DEA-registered reverse distributor or law enforcement to dispose of non-compliant crops.

On this week\u2019s podcast, we talked to Erica Stark from the National Hemp Association to find out what this means for farmers and for the industry as a whole. We also hear about the NHA\u2019s recent partnership with New Holland Ag and the Hemporium at Kutztown University on March 13.
