Ray Baptista

This week we are Kush Chatting with Ray Baptista. Ray started her acting career at the age of 9 doing musical theater at her home country, Brazil. From the ‘Wizard of Oz’ to ‘Beauty and the Beast’ it didn’t took long until she scored the role of Miranda in her first Shakespearean play, ‘The Tempest’. Since relocating to NY, she was cast in the feature ’Twice as Strong’ and was then invited to come back for the ‘Twice as Strong’ series. She worked along side Turkish director Sis Gurdal on her short art film inspired by European art of the 17th and 18th centuries ‘Postcards from the Orient’ and the TV series ‘Émigré’, where she got to play a young Brazilian girl victim of sex trafficking, both are set to premier later this year. She can also be seen in the shorts ’The Venus Circle’ and ‘Blink’. Another project you can see her in is in Trevor Peckham’s ‘Green’, an arthouse social action/environmental thriller where she plays the role of Mother Nature.
