Kristen Booth

This week we are Kush Chatting with Kristen Booth who is an actor, writer, producer, and previous life dancer—which was the creative gateway drug, dragging her, happy and cackling, all the way to New York. Her professional performance career began on the dance floors of late 90s nightclubs like Cheetah, Spa, Spy, & Centro Fly. Her slick moves were always backed-up by a tight writing style two-stepping in the background; as such, she shuffled her heels onto the main stages of Le Bar Bat, Lotus, and Lot 61 as a featured performance poet and actress. The leap from stage to screen is, indeed, every actor’s dream so when Conan O’Brien, The Sopranos, & Paramount Pictures casting directors called, Kristen hella answered! To this day, she swears Gary Sinise dialed her directly back in 1997, but her pager was mega-delayed on the relay and her answering machine cutoff the last two numbers anyway. Who knows what could have been? Call her now, Gary! Work and wanderlust has carried Kristen from coast-to-coast often in the last decade with the past few years producing a new and welcome element of camera and technical work on the West Coast. Back on the Atlantic’s shores Kristen Booth was on the boards in several Equity performances including Enron and All Gone West. On Screen, she can currently be seen—even ogled if you like, she doesn’t mind—in New York Christmas Wedding with Chris Noth, behind the bar in The Reunion, and front-and-center in the forthcoming Screen Actor’s Guild short film Welcome To Oneg. In 2019, Kristen launched her production company, Produced By Booth, to house her own creative works as well as provide consulting to give stagnant endeavors—in any industry—a righteous kick in the pants. Produced By Booth is presently operational and available for hire, even during this time of a viral pandemic. “Viral” can be desired and good for your business—starting with an upgrade to the words on your page, just like this…gestures like Vanna to all the letters above. Produced By Booth. Get into it. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/keon-torres7/support
