b'This week we are Kush Chatting with Model & Actress Candace Monae Smith who was born in New Brunswick New Jersey, raised in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn by her single mother, she attended P.S. 26 Jesse Owen\'s elementary school, then Boys and Girls high school, as much as she hated school she knew that she had to go in order to get her degree as a Mortician. Candace attend American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. Shortly after working on a few corps she decided to drop out of college to pursue her Modeling and Acting career. At 19 yrs old Candace booked her first job with COSMOPOLITAN MAGAZINE, shortly after that ESSENCE MAGAZINE, followed by SEVENTEEN MAGAZINE. she also shot an international ad campaign for MY BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. As determined as she was to get on America\'s Next Top Model, she tried out 7 times with rejections, on that 8th try cycle 18 "British Invasion" Candace made it on as one of the final 14 contestants just turning 22yrs of age. In 2015 she shot a campaign to be the face of MOTIONS HAIR, also shot with L\'Or\\xe9al, and Mac cosmetics, Branching off into Acting Candace landed a role on POWER season 4 episode 5 as Ghost assistant lawyer. VH1 The BREAKS season 1, 2019 Film John wick 3, 2019 film MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN, 2018 film SECOND ACT, 2018 film VOX LUX, and TV show SHE\'S GOTTA HAVE IT season 2 episode 1, there are many more things Candace have done throughout her career, these are just some of her highlights.
